About A & P Aviation Services

A&P Aviation Services has officially opened its doors to the public as of January 2006. For those of you who don’t know of me or what I have done for the general aviation community in the past, please let me introduce myself.

My name is Adam Halop. I currently hold a certificate to practice Airframe & Powerplant maintenance/service on aircraft registered in USA. I've held my Inspectors Authorization license since 1994 and it is current and well used. I have practiced this trade since 1983, specializing in high-performance single and multi-engine piston-powered aircraft: Cessna, Beechcraft, Mooney, & Piper Aircraft. You may have heard of me through the Cessna Pilots Association monthly magazine, weekly ATIS newsletter, or the CPA web site Forums. I headed a Cessna Single-Engine Flight Control Rigging Program, Landing Gear Service Course, and Owner-Assisted Preventative Maintenance Seminars for this Association. Some other functions I have performed that I particularly enjoyed were as follows:

• Teaching model-specific systems and procedures courses. (LOVED meeting the membership),
• Teaching the Mechanic’s Level Courses,
• Cabin Ultra-Sonic Inspection,
• Pre-Purchase Inspections,
• Dynamic Propeller Balance, and
• Flight Control Rigging.

I have also assisted the American Bonanza Society with their Bonanza/Baron Service Clinics, held in my shop twice so far.  I am currently on their schedule to have another clinic in my shop.  Stay tuned for more information.

My experience running a FAA Certified Repair Station, Charter Department and Flight School maintenance shops has given me vast knowledge of the regulations, requirements and recommendations needed to maintain your aircraft.  I have worked in Piper Service Center as well as maintained a Charter fleet of twin Cessna, twin Beech & twin Piper aircraft.
